Are you better or better off than a homeless person?
Sometimes it’s easy to walk by because we know we can’t change someone’s whole life in a single afternoon. But what we fail to realize it that simple kindness can go a long way toward encouraging someone who is stuck in a desolate place.”
— Mike Yankoski
God created us all in His image, that means the rich, the poor, the homeless, all of us.
So many times I see people turn their head, laugh at, or stare at our friends. Oh sure their clothes are not designer brands, their teeth are not pearly white, and quite honestly many of them have severe body odor.
With that being said are we better than they are?
Not in the eyes of our creator, some of us are better off than they are, but we often get the two twisted in our hearts and minds, and shun the needy children of God thinking we are better than they.
Use your abilities, and the time you have left on this earth to touch the life of someone homeless, it won’t hurt you, they don’t bite, but in doing so you may bring someone back from the brink of suicide, or even better bring them to know and love our God…
