How we walk with the broken speaks louder than how we sit with the great…-Bill Bennot

I always use this quote at the end of the slide show when I do a presentation about the lives of the homeless.
It speaks volumes to me and hopefully to you as well.

It takes special people to walk with the broken, to answer the phone all hours of the day and night, to listen to the stories of nights full of pain and agony, to use money out of their own pockets to try to better the life of our friends.

We see them grow, we see them fall, we see more than the average person should ever see. Sometimes we are thanked, sometimes we are cursed out, but at the end of the day we say thank you Lord for our friends, they make us better people, and the love we have for them is amazing.

Why in the world do we do this…How we walk with the broken speaks louder than how we sit with the great…in the eyes of God…

I thank all of my brothers and sisters who are advocates for the homeless…you are all angels without wings..

  1. I have chalkboards in my home that I write scripture and quotes on. I write the words that I want to hide in my heart, keep on my mind and to share with others. This quote, yours…ending in.. in God’s eyes, will be there for a very long time. God bless you all.
