It has been said that,Death takes the body. God takes the soul. Our minds hold the memories. Our heart keeps the love. Our faith lets us know we will meet again.

No one escapes death, not even the homeless.

In the past two years we have said goodbye to five of our friends.
Most had memorial services, and yet there is the pain of a homeless friend with no family.

Sadly there is a search to find any family member, and when none are found the state will bury them in an unmarked grave.
We are not allowed to go the the grave, nor be told where they are buried.

I know there will be a day that I will see my friends again, only God know how soon.
Until then I hold their memories close. I cherish the moments together.

I pray that my buddy Laundry Room Mike will have all of the chocolate he ever wanted in his heavenly home.
