“Think of giving not as a duty but as a privilege.” ―John D. Rockefeller Jr.
I read a post lately about giving the best you have, and I wanted to expand on it a little.
As you know, Hearts is run from donations, food, hygiene and monetary. We can do nothing without or amazing Hearts Family supporting this ministry.
Since dealing with the homeless I have learned a lot about donating. I will be the first to admit that in the past when food donations were needed for other groups or families, I picked through the food we had and sent what I didn’t like or want. Those receiving should be happy with it right?
Our friends have opened my eyes, and the eyes of our Family in Hearts.
You see I thought about that post I read, and it hit home when I read, “What if God didn’t send His best to be our Savior?” What if he allowed repentance for one sin in our lifetime?
Drop the mic time for me…I know God sent His best, and we have an avenue of repentance through his Son as our Mediator.
I urge us all to give our best to our friends, in thought, and deed.
God has PUT us in the position to HELP the less fortunate.
So when you go through your pantry whether it be one can or twenty cans that you are donating give your best.
When you turn in at night and say your prayers, include our friends.
We have a paypal account on this page and our Cash Ap is $heartsforhomeless…if you find it in your heart to send a monetary donation we will go shopping for you, and thank you personally in our Facebook Group
